Linda Marks: President

When I retired in 2013 a friend told me about Fromm and I’ve been happily taking classes ever since. A few years later I was elected to the FISA steering committee, then became your vice president and now your president. I am also on Fromm’s Diversity Task Force.

I’m from the Catskill Mountains of NY State, have a BA degree from Brandeis University, came to California in 1965 “on vacation,” but decided to stay.  Met my husband in 1971 on a Sierra Club ski mountaineering trip and through him developed a love for nature and being outdoors.

Workwise, I have a background in consulting and training with specific expertise in flexible work arrangements and work-life balance. Most of my work was in non-profit or government organizations and my last paid work was with the Center for WorkLife Law at UC Hastings College of the Law.

It is an honor and a privilege to be working with Fromm’s amazing students, staff and board. I look forward to meeting you, online or in person.
